FAQ: 2019-2020 Templar Yearbook

Hello, everyone. We hope you are all happy, healthy and safe as you continue to work and learn remotely during this unprecedented time.

We as a Templar Yearbook staff would normally be sharing our finished product at the conclusion of the academic year with great pride to graduates and their families, along with the Temple University community, but the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about some obvious challenges for everyone.

For us, that has resulted in the delayed delivery and distribution of the 2020 Templar Yearbook.

As such, we have updated the FAQ portion of our website to answer any questions you have to the best of our ability.

Why am I unable to receive a copy of the 2020 Templar Yearbook at this time?

In a typical year, our printer, Herff Jones, would deliver our shipment of 3,700 yearbooks to campus in mid-April, and each of the schools and colleges would distribute them to their graduates as they see fit on a first-come, first-served basis around the time of commencement.

This, of course, is anything but a typical year. All non-essential Temple staff members are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and it’s simply not safe for us at this time to have the books delivered to or stored on campus, nor is it safe to coordinate in-person pickup of the yearbooks on campus through our various schools and colleges. We will continue to consult with the leadership at the university to figure out the best way to navigate the process of getting you your yearbooks when we are able to safely return to campus, and we appreciate your patience.

When the books do arrive on campus, who should I contact if I’m interested in obtaining a copy of the 2020 Templar?

We are fortunate to work each year with dedicated staff members at each of Temple’s schools and colleges who handle commencement-related tasks and get the word out to their graduates about how they can obtain a copy of the yearbook. Based upon your major or area of study, you can find your school or college contact here.

Again, please remember that these staff members are currently working remotely and are not on campus to coordinate yearbook pick-ups. When the books do arrive, they can assist you in obtaining a copy of the 2020 Templar.
